Application Fees are required fees that are due at the time of application. The following fees are paid to Student Accounts and are payable by check or cash only:
- UNC Asheville Partner Exchange programs: $300
- All Semester or Academic Year Non-Exchange Programs including ISEP: $300 + application fee directly to the outside program provider
- Summer Programs: $200 + application fee directly to the outside program provider if necessary
ISEP Application Fees ↓
- ISEP Exchange Application Fee – US$100; when applying for ISEP Exchange, a non-refundable application fee of US$100 is due to ISEP with your application.
- ISEP Exchange Acceptance Fee – US$425; this non-refundable fee is due to ISEP at the time when you accept your placement. This fee covers the cost of customized matching and placement conducted by ISEP staff.
- ISEP Exchange Program Fee – US$300; this non-refundable fee is paid to UNCA Study Abroad to cover the cost of placement, orientation, fairs, etc. conducted by UNCA Study Abroad staff. This fee is payable in cash or check.
- ISEP Exchange Placement Extension Fee – US$100; payable if you decide to extend your ISEP Exchange placement from a semester to a full-year placement. The fee should be submitted with ISEP’s request for extension documentation, which can be found in your student portal.

- Gilman International Scholarship Application: March 7, 2024; The Gilman Program offers scholarships of up to $5,000 to Pell Grant recipients participating in credit-bearing abroad programs in locations with Level 1 or Level 2 Travel Advisories, according to the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs. This cycle encompasses Maymester 2024, Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Academic Year 2024-2025, and Spring 2025 programs or internships.

- Boren Scholarship Deadline: January 31, 2024; The Boren Scholarship offers Scholarships and Fellowships focusing on geographic areas, languages, and fields of study that are critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad.
