Istanbul Bilgi University
Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey with a population of about 13.5 million. It is the country's economic, cultural and historical heart. As a transcontinental city, Istanbul straddles one of the world's busiest waterways, the Bosphorus, between the Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea. Its commercial and historical center lies in Europe, while a third of its population lives in Asia. Historically, Istanbul was the capital of Byzantine and Ottoman Empires and home to countless cultures. Today, it retains its rich cosmopolitan character and is a great place to study as an international student.
